Our Mission

Our mission is to become "Your Information Center" for individuals, families, and businesses — to serve as a resource for reliable, easy-to-read-and-understand information that educates, enlightens, and enriches lives. All of our short reports and practical guides are available online at no cost.

We carry ads from Google AdSense and have no control over these ads. We choose to become affiliate partners with companies we are comfortable recommending to our readers.

Lillie AmmannOur Publisher and Editor-in-Chief

After twenty years in business, Lillie Ammann sold her interior landscape company - one of the largest interior landscape companies and one of the largest woman-owned businesses in the area - to a large national corporation, then she fulfilled her dream of becoming a freelance writer and editor. She has authored two nonfiction books and three novels, edited books for publishers and authors, written business documents, and published newsletters. As the principal owner, manager, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Your Information Center, Lillie makes use of both her business and editing experience.

Her accomplishments are listed in Who's Who in America. She is an active volunteer for her church and several business and writing organizations. Lillie and her husband have one adult son.

Susan Elliott Blashka (Ohio), Home & Garden Project Editor

Susan is a freelance writer and editor with more than a decade of experience in the communications industry. A full-time mom, Susan earned her journalism degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She has held management positions in business and medical publications offices and has been published widely in a variety of magazines, newsletters, and books.

Ben Martinka Benedict J. Martinka (US), Computers & Internet Project Editor

Ben enjoys writing in the diverse areas of faith, family, humor, poetry, and Information Technology. Ben's contributions in the IT category draw upon a double bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics/computer science followed by nearly 20 years combined experience as a software developer, Internet engineer, and digital graphics designer in a variety of industries.

Lynn McShaneLynn McShane (Canada), Business Project Editor

A volunteer manager with many years of experience in the nonprofit industry, Lynn has earned certificates in nonprofit and volunteer management and a bachelor of arts degree in English and business administration. She has been published in a variety of Canadian publications as well as brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and magazines. She is also a presenter, trainer, and facilitator for workshops and seminars.

Miriam is a freelance writer/editor with a background in the biological sciences and nearly 20 years of experience writing on a wide variety of topics. Her nonfiction work has appeared in scientific journals, newspapers, and books; in addition she has written and produced several audio dramas and short films and has published three volumes of poetry.

Edith is a native of Brunswick, Georgia and the owner of Jeteak Press, a Maryland based freelance writing company that specializes in creative, technical, and general writing services.
